Walking and reading

Just a ramble of what my twice daily walks with the dog bring to my life:
A boat parked at the end of block.  A small dual catamaran.  The lucky jerk is probably going out on the water today.  While I toil away at work. Oh well, it is my Friday.
The smell of citrus blossoms.  A scent from my childhood.  My old neighborhood was a orchard in it previous life, well before subdivision occurred.  Always brings a tear to my eye.  I will walking by that tree a lot now.
A raccoon has taken up residence along our fence at night.  Masked little fiend sits perched and stares longingly at my balcony garden.  No way sucker.
The row of Tri Con houses over on the next street.  Always a smile as our first Houston house was a Tricon.  Little back yard, two stories and really nice finishes.  While I love the extra half bath and pantry, Me gusta la casa de Tricon.
Finished the book to end all books on Paris, A moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway.  Less of a book and more short stories that involve my petit neighborhood of Paris.  Anyone else who reads this and doesn't live in the 5th, wander the streets endlessly might not get all of it.  "There is never any ending to Paris and the memory of each person who has lived in it differs from that of any other.  We always returned to it no matter who we were nor how it was changed nor with what difficulties nor what ease it could be reached.  It was always worth it and we received a return for whatever we brought to it."  Sigh.  Amen to that brother.  That and "Never to go trips with anyone you do not love."
Now I am reading "Poser: my life in twenty-three yoga poses.  First line "Taking up yoga in the middle of your life is like having someone hand you a dossier about you.  A dossier full of information you're not really sure you want."  Pretty good so far.

Packing my lunch, full iPod and cup of coffee.  Let the toiling begin..
