Took the paddles and kayaks out today. A hot one but some nice cloud cover to take in Armand Bayou off Bay Area Boulevard. Webster, Houston, Pasadena whichever city claims to have it.
easy launch point and we actually saw other paddlers out today.
Here is our first photo, baby blue heron.
another one spotted.
Chad swears he saw a small alligator in front of him. No photo so it never existed.
The nature center had some deer out in the parking lot. This one finally got turned around to the better part of the park to be!
Love this sign. Suck it gas powered boats, even in Houston-Oil City!
Awesomely creepy stripped trees in the bayou.
A very clear and even surface to kayak on!
Right near the launch. Huge park this Bay Area Park. Lots of gazebos, tables and lots of people fishing today.
The kayak tour groups in front of us and my feet guiding my way back.

You're in my childhood neighborhood. I was born in Pasadena and we made trips to armand bayou to collect specimen for science classes et al and to hike. :)
