Boston recap

Finally a moment to get my pictures off the camera.  Had to clean the whole house today, it was yucky and my PMS exerts itself in cleaning mostly.  Boston recap commence!
Me and my sister Luannie and my other sister by other parents Mindy arrived on a rainy Boston Saturday night.  Here we are getting ready to head out from our rental house to get some food.  unfortunate but that is how most self portraits go...

The next day's view from our rental house.  We stayed out in Hull, Massachusetts to avoid paying $515 a night (holy crow) for a Boston hotel room.  Rental house with a bedroom for each of us and 2 full baths, still way cheaper.
Boston and most of New England are enamored with Dunkin Donuts.  We counted 5 between the highway I93 and the turnoff for the rental house.  Serious donut infatuation.   Good thing our Zona spirit was important with our Gronkowski sighting!
We decided this trip would be the ultimate in tourist so we bought tickets for the trolley tour and had at it.  The first full stop was of Cheers in the left corner of the pic.  And this ultimate in tacky tourist's is taking the photo with his Ipad.  Not the only one in Boston, it was common.  Uber tacky
Did the Fenway tour and man do they make it in money.  easily 80 people on the tour at $12 a head every hour on the hour.  Cha ching, did I just hear that revenue come streaming in?
Me and Ted Williams.  funny thing is his head now resides in Arizona and probably on Uncle AL's liquid nitrogen.
We then hopped back on the trolley to MIT and walked the distance to Harvard.  Huge festival going on.  Mostly band geeks in tights and this Mad Hatter guy just above my sis' head.
Our nonIpad pic at the place where everybody knows your name.  Great bathroom and the nicest coat check girl ever.  She printed us a map to get good pastries.
Fall colors at the old granary burial Ground.  Sam Adams, Paul Revere, Otis, Mother Goose and the unfortunate victims of the Boston Massacre are buried here.  Tons of history.  Makes this geek smile!
The oldest pub in Boston.  No we didn't try it.  Needed food and didn't have the hour wait in us.
A shirt from the heavily Italian neighborhood of the North End.  Hee hee.
Our lunch at Hennessy's.  Great food, flight of Sam Adams, and a bib for Lu and her Louis Lobster.
Next the birds eye view from the Prudential Tower.  It was here I got my souvenir.  Smashed penny.  I love them and they are  a rather convenient and cheap way of marking where you went.
We drove the next day to Nashua, NH to get a better look at the changing colors.  Not much else to see in Nashua.
Then of course a trip to Boston in October should have a stop at Salem.  Which is almost necessary.
Another unfortunate self portrait but it had to be done.  Nice bookmark to our latest girls trip of the Ashby sisters.
