Art Car 2012

Cheers from the 25th annual Houston Art Car parade!  we rode our bikes, a bit tricky on the wet and eroding trails.  They are currently paving them all but after Friday night's rain storm, a bit rough.
the belle of the ball to start it off right.  nothing but VW bus parts!
Houston Grand opera had a giant fat lady with horns but also a real opera singer and baby grand on their entry
The Colonel driving a chicken leg while the Chicken song is playing non-stop.
Gives new definition to the standard TACO TRUCK
My favorite from last year, singing Handel's Messiah were all those singing bass and lobsters.
Got to get me a pink flamingo hat!
Learned that pugs are not for candidate Romney.  I wonder what breeds are for him?
The hoot bus, courtesy of Rice University and its 100th anniversary.
Laughing and laughing and laughing.  NORML had their cars out too.
I love this one.  THIS IS MY OTHER CAR
This guy was walking along as the car drove.  Pretty creative these folks.
Just crazy covered cars and equally crazy people driving them.
 Aloha!
The serve it up and touch your boobies campaign!
The Zebra entries were stacked and had go go dancers even.  My new little point and shoot does well.
No I don't see this on a regular basis even though I do live in Texas!
For my mommy to promote ovarian cancer awareness.  Often time diagnosis is too late.  Think teal!
Got this kitty to look right over to me.  Here kitty kitty kitty!
The traditional St. Arnolds tie-dyed Bentley.  they also have a mini but this is more parade worthy.
We spent our post race at the Montrose Whole Foods, admiring the skyline.  Building a new apt building right there so we have to take it in while it still exists.   Got home in one piece.  Had a monster wreck on Frankenbike.  The aforementioned trail was muddy and my front tire just refused to turn at one point.  Crashed on left knee and have a handlebar sized bruise there this morning.  A little mud bath was the rest of the injury.   Stubborn enough to get home still.
