Pensacola recap

Our beach view from the second floor deck of the Seashell Chateau.  Yes that was the name of the house.  Highly recommend it and the company Southern Rentals.  Really the way to go when housing 12 people and saving all that money on eating out.   We found the local food shop, a high gas station and made our way back across to Gulf Breeze for a real grocery store.  Loaded up with cans of beer (for the beach) and what Chad thought would last 5 days.  Pensacola Beach has the softest sand I have ever set feet on.  White like sugar and soft.  Ahhh.
My investment in puzzles from the dollar store was the highlite (who knew) and involved many family members.  No pieces were missing and only operator error was to blame for not all pieces fitting the first time.  Turns out one of our bunch had not quite put the fish together right and needed a bit of reorganizing.  I never knew my nephews were such puzzle hounds.  Guess everyone should expect that from me for birthdays and Christmas.
A crab for my favorite Cancer, my sister.

A view from the beach back at our Chateau.  No you cannot see it.  You have to pay an additional $1500 for the beach front which isn't really beach front.  I and the others were okay with crossing the tiny street ARIOLA for our beach.  Ariola, indeed appropriate with a breast cancer patient and that many boys.
We had found a portuguese man of war and it was promptly squished and tossed in the garbage.
Cheesy canned beer and canned smiles all around at the beach!
Our heated match of trivia ended with Brenda and Jeff playing a thumb war.  Not really but that is how it ended up.
Beach time and proof that we got her comfortable and feet in the sand.  Now we have all the best beach gear so ask us to go to the beach this summer.
Wednesday morning.  Huge Thunderstorms rolled thru on Tuesday and again but early on Wednesday.  Good deal as we were headed to NAS Pensacola for a Blue Angels practice.
Nephew and his buddy who just started with the Blue Angels.  We got to see them all go to the planes and fire them  up and then astound us with their flying abilities.
A close up, videos will be posted later once I figure out the not so user friendly Mac way to do that.
Now feeding this crew was a task at hand.  Said trip to Gulf Breeze for supplies was supposed to tide us over, thanks for thinking that Chad.  You are sweet.  I mean with names like Jeff, Corey, Sean, Chris, Jordan, Mike and Chad alone we went thru nearly 3 loaves of bread by Monday morning.  Another trip to the market was due on Monday.  Still didn't buy enough chicken for the Tuesday dinner but we managed.
Cheated on the last night and went with pizza.  Crawfish pizza as seen was my personal favorite.  Sausage, crawfish and peppers, yes please.  I will be trying this one out in Houston soon.  During the trip Chad decided that he would take no money for groceries.  But wouldn't you know, he got strong armed by his big sis and relented.  Never underestimate an obstinate woman.  Dying but far from dead and ready for a fight.  Our mission was accomplished.  One last fun beach trip for Brenda and a great time for the rest of us to remember on.  Next year, San Diego!
