2 June 2010- Had great plans for a cool Wordless Wednesday but then my computer gave me the blue screen of death. My Ipod somehow got corrupted. My Palm pilot refuses to Hot sync. Ugh. Then the Orange Live Box (tv, phone, internet) stopped working. Guess we are done paying for that service. Crap.
Today all appliances are behaving although computer is still a bit slow. Might be thrown off the balcony still. Ipod is all better. Palm is still refusing to sync but it will get replaced with a new phone in the US anyways. Maybe an Iphone if Tmobile gets to sign up.
We sold our kitchen cabinets to the apt people. Can I get an amen!? They originally wanted them for free, no way suckers. But we talked to the actual guy instead of going thru our relo company. he was open to suggestion and we got an okay price. Now we just get the movers/packers to pack the contents and leave them behind. We also talked him to letting us leave the shower curtain, towel hooks, and our closet shelving unit. It is super discreet (the Elfa system only hangs from a header board). We sold the washer and fridge to some new expats at a steal of price. And we have a French salesman to sell off the rest of our goods. A good start indeed!
I would post some pictures but my battery is bound to run out shortly and I still have some email to check. I am typing this on my laptop at the Roman arena in Paris. They have free hotspots all over the city and this one is the closest and coolest. Who else gets internet connection at a structure that is over 2000 years old?
Probably a few posts here and there while we are settling our affairs in France. Maybe more treks to the arena will be needed? The weather is fantastic so as long as it holds, I will be here!
