Strike

14 December 2009- Ugh, the garbage men have gone on Strike today. I am very glad it was cold today then, could have been stinky. Chad's train is still perturbed so he left the house without his hat and scarf. The metro is sure to be crammed full of annoyed people so no need to stay warm. The weather is supposed to stay cold and this weekend Paris could see -11 C, 12 F for those in the states. Brr! Even Junior is beyond cuddly since it is so cold. I did actually need my sunglasses today, so the sun is not on strike but it is losing to the cold front BIGTIME.
Got my Christmas packages out today, gold star for me. Should be delivered on time for the holiday. If not, just remember, I planned it that way to continue your holiday joy.
Making a pseudo-cassoulet tonight for dinner. No lamb shanks or confit. Still plenty of pork and duck products in it with beans and veggies. It will be a nice warm filling meal. Paired beautifully with fresh baguette and a mini chocolate yule log cake (not made in my kitchen).
