Warm and Sunny Houston Sunday morning. Wind is good for us, bad for fires.
Sago palm that has been watered.
crunchy plants, no rain.
Limbs of dead trees poke through the greenery that is usually Houston.
Someone has been watering more than 2 a week. Water restriction fines are steep.
Green shrub, dead shrub. We are all waiting this season out before even bothering to rip out or replant.
I love the front of this church. So welcoming with the razor wire and chain link fence right next door.
Dead tops of trees as trees go into protective mode.
Sago palm with much water turns yellow right quick.
Whole sections of neighbors shrubs must be replanted.
Our own trees, the elms are doing well but the next door's tree is dead for sure.
Our spring's beauty of azaleas. These are three that are definitely goners.
My magnolia is struggling. Rose bushes are doing okay, very thin but still flowering.
Goner twin of the magnolia. We are not sure to replant this year. Poor south east Texas. This is what 2 feet of rain gets us, greenery and live trees.
