Pike Place Market, the ultimate tourist destination in Seattle. Good since it was close to the ferry and we were not to return to the Eastern port city of Seattle until the flight out. Love the flowers, food selections and the original Starbucks.
We were headquartered in Bremerton, an hour west of Seattle. Home to the Puget Sound Shipyard, all things nautical and naval. Explored this blue collar town quite a bit.
You can make out the starfishes hanging on the dock.
The wedding venue was at the northern tip of the Kitsap peninsula at Port Gamble. Sparse little church but who needs decor when you have flowers and bay view?
The theme of the wedding was travel. The wedding program looks like a passport and they had travel based seating arrangements, entertainment and touches. Very nice, even for a wedding.
I know, I know but I hate the idea of a wedding. Even our friends the next morning were more grateful it was over than anything else. And now they need to save money for 1 year for some land to build the house on. Would have been less than 6 months if they didn't have the wedding stuff to pay for. Ouch. I will buy all my friends dinner another time.
We decided to spend our Sunday, post wedding out on the Olympic peninsula exploring the Olympic National Park. A bit cloudy and rainy but we managed to find a dry cool spot to venture to spy the fall colors, some wildlife and such.
The gateau. Sorry blogger is still confused or is that me who is confused. Chocolate cake! Woo hoo!
Okay see here Blogger. anyways, this was more our pace. sitting in wooden chairs next to a lake. Bliss.
After our hike to the see the Marymere falls. Try saying that fast.
We don't care how budget this fine beer was, we couldn't do it. A 20 oz Coke was $1.11 at this same store. Beer cheaper than soda, I am scared.
Bye Seattle, darn it blogger. Quit screwing up my photo upload.
Chad in the green coat (new location) and his pellet enjoying aforementioned lake and chairs.
got to have the self portrait. This was one of many. Chad had weird face in the others.
Blurry because it was fast. We came across 3 deer hanging out by the creek. this was the trailer, fast and sprite.
Of course we missed the dungeness crab fest, stupid wedding on the wrong weekend. That would have sealed the deal. I had lovely salmon, lovely Northwestern American IPA, and many champagnes of Seattle (coffee). We wish the happy couple all the best. Hopefully they are enjoying their dua cappucinos e cornetti this morning. Salute!
As for you Seattle, we will be back just to return to the rest of the Olympic National Park. And to Starbucks, please make a sandwich that doesn't come with mustard. Dijon, spicy brown or regular. Mustard is still mustard and un-palatable to this travelling fool.
