19 February 2010- Just some musings while I wait for Chad to return from the doctor with good old amazing full strength antibiotics.
People need to put down the phone while driving. Really seeing some crazy stuff. Saw at least 3 people mis-judge the left turn and run right into the divider. One thing to run into it while u-turning but really. Saw a person drive in the suicide lane for about 1/2 mile to anticipate their left turn. Good thing no one else needed the lane! Driving is so inefficient. Knowing that most people would be better off on public transportation. In France, driving test pass rate is 50% and costs 1500 euros. Should be like that here. Some people had too nice of a driving test procter.
I had forgotten totally about the southern hospitality. People actually smile and chat you up. And they are not crazy. Just sweet old nice and overly friendly. Makes me smile!
Biscuits are tasty! Sorry Tony, once again I ruined my day, but it was so worth it.
Had some of the best magoro tuna in my life last night. nice to have sushi and have a choice between two types of tuna and lots of white fish. Not just salmon in various forms.
Might go to the movies tonight. Shutter Island opens tonight and we could cram it in. Get a giant coke with lots of ice. Oh yeah, we can get that in France. One thing that hasn't changed.
