Lazy weekend

18 May 2008-What to do with a weekend? We visited our Mexican food restaurant, drank way too many margaritas. Chad was convinced "roofies" were involved. I just think my plan of partying like a Wildcat was dismissed by the amount of tequila consumed. No more shopping by drunk Linda but a few emails were sent. Nothing bad. I stick by my counterpart's opinions.
Saturday was spent mostly inside recovering from Ay Carumba. I did venture out for a quick walk. I ended up in the area of the Four Seasons hotel. Someone important was coming out because there was a large crowd of people and lots of arms holding cell phone cameras. I know lots of people are in France this time of year but they are at Cannes in the south of France. Wonder who it could have been. It was "La nuit des Musees". Free admission to several of the museums in the area. It is a country wide event and the list was something like 17 pages. We chose to visit the Hotel des Invalides, home of Napoleon's tomb and the museum of army. We broke up the museum with dinner. We returned to the dome to see the light and music show. It was so cool. The video is of the dome so a bit blurry as the height is 107 meters up. They lit up all the reliefs as well. There are four angels half way up the dome and they lit them so they appeared in color instead of pale limestone. Very impressed with Night at the Invalides.

Today we wandered through the Luxembourg garden. A bit of scouting trip for a future picnic plan. They have installed some modern art (?) and some palm trees. We had a coffee at the little stand and meandered around. They have a pay to play jungle gym with some of the coolest toys. A poma lift ride and a cool climbing conglomeration. No rocks underneath like the one that cracked my head open long long ago. We watched a few heated matches of boules. They are quite serious about this game. Now we are at home watching a very serious DBacks game. A replay of last night's game, down one run but the rally cap can come out for the bottom of the 9th. The best part of watching the replayed games, no commercials, just baseball, baseball, baseball. Viva la France!
