30 October 2007- We are hastily making our plans for our return trip to France. We have a lot to do and it helps having me at home to get most of the errands done. I am not sure when it will dawn on me that I am not working since I will be hopping busy for the next 2 weeks. My to do list is long. Let's hope the house sells fast, I need to be at home doing stuff rather than window shopping at Ikea or Target while realtors show the house.
We starting on some of the stock up experience. Chad is almost done with the shopping aspect. My cousin explained the difference between shopping and buying. Buying is accomplished in minutes- go in and get exactly what you need in the least amount of time, shopping takes much longer. He was a good sport about it. He needed a couple of cold weather coats and a sport coat. He will definitely look like a local when we return to Paris. Very grown up. For those of you tracking the green coat and its travels, it will also be making the trip. It will only be used for light weather stuff and it is definitely winter in Europe. Other stock up purchases included cat stuff, thai peanut sauce, and some hygiene products. Be prepared if you do come visit, we may ask you to bring more of these types of items.
So far Chez Nickell at the flat we liked the most looks like a go. We will hold off to start sending address out because nothing is set in stone until Uncle AL signs off. Our friends who got relo-ed earlier this year were in temporary housing for 10 weeks trying to find something once their options all ran out. So far we have had the luck. Everything keeps falling in to place. Even when we were running the city with Mme. Dupont, we kept finding parking in Paris. Quick someone rub my belly!
